Recommended plan of management: 4 - 8 acupuncture treatments Acupuncture is a chiropractic service and is billed under your chiropractic coverage. For your first appointment, please select the "Acupuncture Initial Consultation" appointment. For younger children and babies, non-needling techniques are available: acupressure beads, electrostimulator, cupping, acupressure, tapping technique. Acupuncture is defined as a system of diagnosis and treatment based on a comprehensive Chinese theory of energy balance. The treatment involves stimulating precise anatomical locations on the body to produce therapeutic effects. The benefits of acupuncture are wide-ranging and profound. Through a chiropractic scope of treatment, acupuncture calms the nervous system, speeds up healing, reduces inflammation, improves circulation, and corrects musculoskeletal system dysfunction. Acupuncture is also a useful adjunct treatment to be included in a comprehensive health management program for a host of other conditions, such as: nausea, vertigo, scar and injury rehabilitation, headaches, neck and back pain, TMJ, inflammation, stress, and so much more. Dr. Jenna is certified in the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. She strives to make your child’s acupuncture experience as positive and comfortable as possible utilizing a combination of non-invasive acupuncture techniques.
